People often ask what made me start my business. So, I thought I would share one of the reasons that have motivated my journey.
I've always struggled with my weight, I've been up and down the scales all my life. As someone who is short, (5ft nothing!), every little bit of extra weight shows and it is something I am always conscious of. But, often the latest designs, colours, prints feel just too overwhelming on me. I wanted to look stylish and on trend but, I always ended up resorting to the good old safe colours of black and navy and using accessories to bring in seasonal colours. I became to queen of accessories, Shoes, belts, scarves, hats and jewellery became my go way to update my look.
I felt like earrings and shoes were a great way add interest and take the focus off the parts of my body that I wasn't as happy with. It really helped me to feel more stylish, confident, and was a comfortable way for me to express my personality and wear my favourite colours. It also meant I could spend money of good quality clothing that would last, and give it a completely new look with inexpensive accessories.
This passion for accessories and love for crafting led me to start making my own earrings. After a while I had friends and relatives asking me to make them some, and before you know it I attended my first market. Fall for Fancy was born, (curious about the name, that's a story for another day). That was now 7 years ago!
Since then I have expanded my range from glass dome earrings to lightweight laser cut, wood and resin. I also now have a range of stainless steel studs for those who prefer something a little smaller. I am so grateful for all my customers for whom Fall for Fancy has become their earring go to.
I'd love to know if any of this resonates with you and if you have any ideas for future blogs or questions - feel free to leave a comment.

Wow Jess it’s almost as if I could have written this blog post myself, I’m so greatful to have stumbled across your business at the Pihma market where I made my first purchase, I now have approximately 20 pairs of your fabulous earrings and am always tempted to buy more. As someone who still predominantly wears black I thank you for creating what feels like safe ways to begin to add pops of colour to my wardrobe. Choosing earrings has become an easy way to practice a few moments of self care.
